i'm having a trial run of the typical working life
joining the rat race with a p-plate
nobody will blame me if i give up
nobody will care how fast i can run
contrary to my initial thoughts
time is now my most treasured asset
i am spending so much time in the office
i don't much left to pursue my own interests
the sun has set when i want to run
my eyes are tired when my buddies went to play
the to-do-list goes on and on but are never fulfilled
and there is no time to flourish my love
if this is life once i'm out of the cocoon
i wonder how well i'll adapt
though i still look forward to make it big in life
my threshold of pain in this rat race still remains unknown
