it has been stormy
and i was too blind to see
busy dashing and bumping
unaware of all other feelings
i felt pain
but i chose to push
i was lost
but i continue to force
too eager to achieve
falling prey to ego and indiscipline
getting knocks over my soul and body
foolish am i to not stop and see
now i turn back
take another look at the path i made
though i reached where i am
the trail i left was an untidy mess
when it rained
all i knew was look ahead and dash
if i was careful enough to see
seeking shelter was the way to be
though i learnt my lesson
i could not tell if it will still happen
i might just forget when it rains
there i go dashing blindly again
the storm has hardened me
the pain has hurt me
it's time slow down the pace
and relook the path ahead
