waking up to just another day
i found out that i was early
today's to-do-list is endless
but i answered to my hunger first
done my laundry and scrubed the floor
felt that i had finished the day's chores
i knew i was cheating myself
there are more importants things yet to do
looking out the window
everything seems still and quiet
i thought the world's sleeping
no, they are out earning their bread
what am i still doing
i started early, i'm still late
it's time to earn my own bread
in my good, old ways
